TRS update 21 Nov 19

Hi guys,

Thanks for a good night of carolling. Coralie has introduced a couple of new carols that are going to be a nice change for us to perform.

My ramblings for this week:

1. Christmas Carols 2020

Confirmed dates for Carols currently are:

Woodvale Nursing Home - RSVP here

• Tuesday 3rd December - time TBA

Galleria Shopping Centre Morley:

• Thursday 12th December 6.30pm - 8.30pm

• Sunday 15th December 12.00 - 2.00pm

Perth Airport Carols - Terminal 4

• Friday 20th December 2.00pm - 5.00pm

• Sunday 22nd December 2.00pm - 4.30pm

More details will follow closer to the dates, but if you could add these dates and times to your calendars if you are available, that would be great.

2. TRS Christmas Party - will be held on Friday 13th December at the Windsor Hotel in South Perth. If you haven't RSVP'd as yet could you please organise. I will be sending out invoices for payment shortly and then we can go ahead and fully confirm the function with the Hotel. We will do Secret Santa on that night too and it is sure to be a fun night of singing and socialising. More details will follow. Click here to RSVP

3. Final dates for 2019 - Our final rehearsal at St Mary's for this year will be 5th December. We will then perform Carols on the following week (12th) at Galleria. Our 1st rehearsal of the year for 2020 will be on the 16th of January. We are currently ordering new music for next year, which I will add to the website in the holiday break and we will then be able to hit the ground running for an amazing 2020!

4. By Other Eyes 2020 - we have been contacted by the UWA Conservatorium of Music with an invitation to perform alongside other choirs for this event to be held on the 16th May 2020. Please see some information below. If you are think this is something you would be interested in taking part in 2020 can you please respond to this expression of interest - register your interest here. The board will consider based on the choir's interest levels. If you could respond by Sunday 24th, that would be wonderful.

5. Facebook - after discussion at the board meeting this week, it was decided that TRS should set up a Facebook page purely for promotion of the choir. This will be entirely different to our Facebook Group which most of us are already members of.

The page can be found here https://www.facebook.com/therealsingchoir/. If you could all try to make your way to this page and like it, comment on it when there is something of interest and just spread the word, that would be great. All gigs and promotional info will be shared here by the admins.

If you aren't a member already, send a request and either Marianne or myself will approve. Feel free to post anything you want here for the choir.
