Man in the Mirror and Lonesome Loser are coming together nicely and Elastic Heart will be lovely.
A great big thank you for the maximum effort everyone put in to make Cottesloe such a success. I realise that a number of people were out of their comfort zone taking on so many songs (and reviving songs we hadn’t done for eons!) but the effort was worth it. It was a fantastic concert with a full audience and great feedback. One of our best I feel.
Thanks especially to Coralie who, as always, conducted us with such aplomb!
Thanks to those who set up and packed away – your efforts and time are really appreciated.
Onwards and upwards…..
Our next gig is August 26th when we only have to sing three songs (Lonesome Loser, Flow Water and Helplessly Hoping) plus Coralie’s whole choir song – sound files should be with us at the weekend.
Coralie has just emailed the parts for Elastic Heart. In the meantime, keep practising Lonesome Loser and Man in the Mirror which we will perform at Dunsborough and we’ll aim for Elastic heart too – oh ye of little faith!
The list for Guildford will be with you soon.
You thought I’d forget ha ha… next week we will sing through Joy to the World. For the newbies we sing three verses then repeat the first (1. Joy to the World the Lord is Come 2. Joy to the World the Saviour Reigns 3. He rules the World with truth and grace). Don’t bring the Christmas file with you!!!!
See you next week.
Shirley
